Keina Kagami was bedridden for days, but when her life support failed, she found herself reincarnated in the world of Leadale, the game she’d been playing as the character “Cayna”.
At first, she was too happy to be in the world she loved. But it wasn’t long before she realized this world is not what it used to be.
As Cayna learns, two hundred years have passed since she left the world. But this doesn’t make her sad– it means a new adventure is coming her way and she’ll get to discover new people, places, and things.
20. Shenmue the Animation
This was a neat little adventure anime tv show with something epic for anime fans and video game players alike. It’s unfortunate that it didn’t get more attention because I highly recommend watching it if you’re interested in the Shenmue franchise.
After his father’s death in a dojo, Hazuki Ryou swore revenge on those responsible and visited a lot of places on his quest. He has had to walk the streets of Japan and Hong Kong, while he is still driven toward his goal.
He’ll soon figure out that there are some big, unknown forces at work as he trains to become the world’s most powerful martial artist. But ultimately, he has revenge in mind.
19. Fena: Pirate Princess
Fena Pirate Princess is an anime original series produced by Production IG. The animation and visuals of the show are high production-value, with a phenomenal start episode that makes this adventure anime TV series difficult to pass up.
The story mainly focuses on Fena, an orphan who works as a servant in a brothel but is secretly rescued by a stranger, and once they tell her the truth about her family, she has to find out what this big secret was.
18. The Faraway Paladin
This is an isekai adventure anime series that follows the story of a character who gets stronger and stronger and talks like an idiot when he meets new people.
Will finds himself resurrected into a new world. He’s going to have to prepare for the things he might find in this mysterious world, where nothing about this journey is going to be simple, but he has no other choice than complete every task that lies in front of him.
Don’t get me wrong, the story has been great for the most part, I just wish it felt a little more consistent. It still has those dark elements that I enjoy but it’s still just an ordinary isekai tv show.
17. Astra: Lost in Space
Astra is a thriller adventure anime set in a future where science has progressed so much that it’s possible for kids to go on intergalactic trips as just another part of their schooling. The main story focuses on a group of students who band together to pilot a spaceship in order to make their way back home. They share the goal of making the dangerous journey.
Definitely check out this sci-fi tv show, trust me it’s worth it. The first episode’s an hour long and if you like that you’ll probably enjoy the entire show. we recommend Kanata no Astra as a great pick and it is sure that this show will be your next favorite one.
16. Basilisk
The story of this good historical adventure anime is simple, but epic, two ninja clans from different regions have a battle to the death. Naturally, this is littered with some forbidden love and that part was executed well. The best way I’d describe it would be an ultra-violent love story.
The focus of the series is on the couple, Gennosuke and Oboro who are torn between their love for each other and their duty to their clans. Throughout the story, they must make difficult decisions that will ultimately decide the fate of both clans.
15. Claymore
This is an action adventure anime about a lone woman with silver eyes. She walks into town with only a sword upon her back. She’s known as a Claymore, and she’s there to exterminate monsters.
After the death of his family, Raki finds himself in a precarious position with nowhere to go and so decides to follow The Claymore Clare on her dangerous journey.
Over the course of their journey, we find out more about Clare’s organization and her fellow warriors. Every town they cleanse brings them closer to the youma on which Clare has set her sights.
14. Alderamin on the Sky
Alderamin on the Sky is an enjoyable military anime. It’s due to the focus on the cruel reality of war, making it really interesting. The MC, Ikta Solork, does a lot of reckless things in order to make his own legend.
The series mainly tells the story of two neighboring empires fighting against each other and their struggles in the process. There are all sorts of battles going on in this empire – not just the feud between these two countries. Different clans wage war throughout the land, and the strategies they use are usually pretty solid.
13. Drifters
Drifters is among the best action-packed adventure anime series of all time, it also has a dark feel to it, which is reminiscent of fantasy stories. The first few episodes hint at the premise and they establish it quickly as we meet the Drifters, the main protagonists of this show. They are based on historical figures who come from their own time period.
Still, throughout the series, the protagonists may come across as more of an anti-hero thanks to their actions. The primary cast includes Shimazu Toyohisa, Oda Nobunaga, and Nasu Suketaka Yoichi. Thanks to a mysterious man named Murasaki, they start associating with each other to fight off evils.
12. Magi
With the Middle Eastern setting, you can hope for a gripping narrative. Luckily, Magi has a well-structured plot where the focus is on the two main characters Alibaba and Aladdin. It also has an addictive vibe to it
One feature that distinguishes this from other adventure animes is the political side of things. Essentially, about being the king who must rule. Through this, the story becomes quite gripping and dark; it captures the harsh realities of being at the top.
But how are you going to do that? Different nations and factions can interact realistically in this world, without the story ever feeling missing action, magic, and epic fighting moments.
11. Ushio To Tora
Aotsuki Ushio’s world was turned on its head when he found a demon in the basement of the temple depot.
The beast in question is Tora, famous for his power. When he tries to coerce Ushio into releasing him from his 500-year seal, Ushio refuses to set him free. But when a sudden youkai outbreak puts his friends and home in danger, he decides to rely on Tora’s power to save the day.
Ushio and Tora’s meeting is only the beginning of their journey to the spiritual world. With the Beast Spear in his hand, Ushio will find out how tough the supernatural world can be.
10. The Rising of The Shield Hero
So far, “Shield Hero” has been a bit of a mixed bag. On one hand, it’s got some really good moments, on the other it’s also got some so-dark moments. You will be interested in seeing how it plays out and how the story progresses from here.
Shield Hero is a kind of great adventure anime about a man who gets transported to another world equipped with only a shield.
There! he is one of the world’s great defenders, but when cruel betrayal shatters his reputation, he tries to regain public trust while fighting against evils with some loyal companions.
9. Tsuki Ga Mishibiko
Tsukimichi is in fact messy anime. But, it’s enjoyable in its own way. It’s funny and has some surprisingly good twists on the tropes it involves while also having relatable characters too.
The only complaint I have would be the possessive harem trope, which is good for some anime lovers. Nevertheless, this is just a minor issue given how good the rest of the show is.
The story follows Makoto Misumi, who is inexplicably transported to a fantasy world. The goddess in charge of it believes that Makoto is not good-looking enough to be the hero, so he’s abandoned there. He learns how to live in the new world and deals with challenges that come along the way.
8. Fumetsu no Anata
To Your Eternity follows a lonely boy as he traverses America’s arctic regions. Along the way, he meets a wolf who becomes his friend and relies on each other to survive in the harsh environment.
But the boy has a lot of history. He’s an immortal being who can transform into dead humans and animals he meets on his journey. You will see him turns into a giant bear, a girl who climbs trees, and a wolf. Though the wolf is immune to death, he has worries and things he can lose. While the wolf has a mystery too.
7. Dororo
Dororo is a sword fighing adventure anime to watch. The story follows a young man named Hyakkimaru, who is on a quest to find and slay many demons in order to regain his body parts. The show’s backstory flows through feudal Japan, the Kamakura Shogunate, and the Sengoku Period. Dororo is a violent show that explores themes such as war, death, and betrayal while never backing down from its heroic ideals. Dororo is based on a manga series written and illustrated by Osamu Tezuka. It was originally serialized in Weekly Shōnen Magazine between 1967, and 1978.

Samurai Champloo is a famous samurai anime series from 2004 directed by Shinichiro Watanabe and written by Shinji Obara. The show follows Mugen, Jin, and Fuu as they travel the Japanese countryside while battling shogunate officials, gangsters, and a diverse spectrum of wild characters.
The show has a very interesting blend of Japanese and Western culture, as well as an overarching theme of mixing themes of action, adventure, and samurai. It is considered by many to be one of the best anime series ever made.

This action-adventure anime adaptation also tells us about the day-to-day life of Vikings in order to catch us up on the culture, through the eyes of Thorfinn.

The Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is an action, superpower, adventure anime series with a good story of two brothers, who set out on an epic adventure to restore their bodies. Edward Elric makes an alchemical pact with a demon but instead loses his arm and leg while his brother Alphonse Elric loses his whole body.
However, They are not the only ones who are looking for that powerful stone. But as they go searching, they find out about some plans to transmute the entire country for reasons unknown.
