Cursed Anime Characters With Or Without Powers

4. Oyashiro-Sama /  Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni

This Curse is a term widely used in the anime to describe a series of murders that took place in the village of Hinamizawa.

Many villagers believe the deaths are caused by the wrath of the goddess Oyashiro-Sama.

Who long ago decreed no one could ever leave the village and few people should enter it.

So, when they broke these rules, they die.

However, other possible explanations exist for the rampant deaths besides divine retribution.

It could be Hinamizawa Syndrome, a mysterious mental illness that drives people to violent acts.

Scientists could also be behind the murders, as some say they are killing people with Hinamizawa Syndrome for not cooperating with their study.

3. Allen Walker / D.Gray-man

Allen Walker is one of the most known cursed anime characters, but his powers can be a blessing in some ways.

His left eye sees the human souls contained in Akuma, demonic beings who are intentionally created by combining one or more mortal souls.

Most people see them as monsters, which is pretty convenient if you’re an exorcist in charge of destroying them.

Allen Walker is also an exorcist, but because of his cursed eye, he has to see his adversaries’ humanity.

This is great, as it allows him to view the situation for what it is and make appropriate choices, but it’s also a curse because the knowledge is painful to bear.

2. Sasuke Uchiha / Naruto

The Cursed Seal of Heaven is one of the strongest of Orochimaru’s cursed seals, the other being its counterpart, the Cursed Seal of Earth.

When Sasuke’s powers are pushed to the limit, and his Curse Mark is not enough to help him, he can take his ability one step further.

Sasuke can activate the Second Stage of his Curse Mark, causing him to undergo a full-body transformation.

When this occurs, his skin turns gray, his hair turns blue and grows down to his waist, and the sclera of his eyes are black.

Sasuke also grows a pair of wings when in this form, which he can use for sustained flight, or as a method of blunt-force attack.

These wings are so heavy that Sasuke can use them to generate powerful gusts of wind, knocking opponents back and leaving them open for the kill.

In his Second Stage, Sasuke’s powers increased even further, to the point where conventional battle tactics will have little effect on him.

When in his Second Stage, Sasuke was able to make short work of the Rinnegan-baring Matt, who could do little to fight back.

The most noticeable change to Sasuke’s abilities is in his Chidori, which turns black when used.

1. Natsuki Subaru /  Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu

Subaru is at a local Japanese convenience store, buying consumer goods.

After leaving the store, he somehow ends up in a fantasy world, after the atmosphere around him distorts itself.

Confused by the happenings around him, Subaru later recognizes the fact that he has been sucked into another world.

However, his curse is to return by death.

Also Subaru is currently able to use two Authorities, Sloth and Greed.

His Return by Death is also an Authority but nothing has been confirmed.
