About the Reborn as a Vending Machine anime series:

Reborn as a Vending Machine season 2

Reborn as a Vending Machine, Now I Wander the Dungeon is a really good new isekai anime that falls into the genres of Comedy and Fantasy. The show had its run from July 5, 2023, to September 20, 2023. The series is based on a light novel written by Hiru Kuma (story) and illustrated by Katou Itsuwa (art). It has been published by Yen Press under the Yen On imprint since April 24, 2018.

The story begins with a man who deeply loves vending machines, and he soon discovers that he has not only passed away but has been reborn as one of his cherished vending machines! In this peculiar twist of fate, he finds himself in a fantasy world. Although he’s in the form of a modern machine, he needs money to keep functioning.

Trapped in a fixed location, his destiny takes a turn when he encounters a young girl named Lammis. Impressed by the drinks and food he offers, Lammis, using her extraordinary power called the “Blessing of Might,” effortlessly lifts him and transports him to the village of Clearflow Lake. Here, she affectionately names him Boxxo.

Even though Boxxo can’t communicate with the villagers, he gradually becomes an integral part of their community. His vending goods provide essential nourishment, and as he acquires new abilities and items, he becomes a vital aspect of their daily lives. Summary:

Well, the first season of Reborn as a Vending Machine charmed me with its light-hearted and unique take on the isekai genre, making it one of my top favorites nowadays. While watching the first season, I was pleasantly surprised by the author’s ingenuity in turning a vending machine into a character. While the characters may not be deeply intricate, they’re endearing and enjoyable. The animation is so good, clean, and provides a relaxing viewing experience.

For those seeking something original, light-hearted, amusing, and perhaps a bit whimsical—something to enjoy without delving too deeply—this comes highly recommended.
