It’s officially confirmed that Toei Animation’s new anime, Girls Band Cry, focused on music, will air on TOKYO MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, and BS11 starting in April 2024. They also revealed a cool new key visual and a teaser PV.
The Girls Band Cry story follows the main character, a high school dropout in her second year, working alone in Tokyo while aiming to enter university. One girl faces betrayal by her friends and feels lost. Another girl, abandoned by her parents, tries to survive in the city with part-time jobs. The world disappoints us, and things never go as planned. Despite that, we want something to cherish. We believe there’s a place where we belong. So, we sing.
The main characters and their voice actors in the anime “Girls Band Cry” include Nina Iseri voiced by Rina, Tomo Ebizuka voiced by Natsu, Rupa voiced by Shuri, and Subaru Awa voiced by Mirei.

The staff members include Kazuo Sakai as the director, Kenji Tamai handling the music, and Nari Teshima as the character designer.
Toei Animation will animate and produce Girls Band Cry anime series. Toei Animation is a Japanese animation studio owned by Toei Company. They’ve made many series like Sally the Witch, GeGeGe no Kitarō, Mazinger Z, Galaxy Express 999, Cutie Honey, Dr. Slump, Dragon Ball, Saint Seiya, Sailor Moon, Slam Dunk, Digimon, One Piece, Toriko, World Trigger, and Pretty Cure.
