The anime adaptation of Doctor Elise has unveiled its main PV, featuring additional cast members. The 2-minutes main trailer, along with a second key visual, provides more details about the upcoming series. The release date for the Surgeon Elise or Doctor Elise: The Royal Lady with the Lamp is set for January 10 in Japan.
The new cast additions include Satoshi Hino as Ron, Daisuke Ono as Len de Clarence, Hiro Shimono as Chris de Clarence, Souma Saitou as Mikhail de Romanoff, Megumi Han as Julien de Child, and Kazuhiko Shinoue as Minchester de Romanoff.
Originally a web novel from South Korea written by Yuin, Doctor Elise is making its way into getting an anime adaptation. Doctor Elise: The Royal Lady with the Lamp, started on Kakao’s KakaoPage in December 2015 and continued until April 2016. Later, it was adapted into a manhwa, illustrated by Mini, and serialized on KakaoPage from September 2017 to February 2021.
The news came on February 28, 2023, when an anime TV series adaptation was officially announced to air in January 2024. Maho Film is producing the anime, with Kumiko Habara taking on the role of director. The opening theme, titled “Believer,” will be sung by Yui Ishikawa, while Maju Arai will perform the ending theme, “Listen.”
The Doctor Elise anime features three main characters:
– Elise (Voiced by Yui Ishikawa)
– Linden (Voiced by Yōhei Azakami)
– Graham (Voiced by Yoshimasa Hosoya)
This Korean anime, falling under the genres of Comedy, Fantasy, and Romance with themes of Medicine and Reincarnation, follows the story of Dr. Song Jihyun. Known for her exceptional surgical skills in Korea, she aims to save lives in her new life after a past filled with jealousy and greed as Elise de Clorance led to her demise.
In a twist of fate, Elise finds herself back in her old body after a plane crash. Armed with modern medical knowledge, she strives to correct the mistakes of her past life and serve the empire as a medic. However, things get complicated when she discovers she’s supposed to be engaged to Prince Linden de Romanoff, the man she deeply loved in her previous life.
