The release date of A Sign Of Affection anime series is set for January 6, 2024, airing on Tokyo MX and other networks. The official website recently unveiled the key visual, introduced two additional cast members, and shared details about the opening and ending theme songs. Crunchyroll has acquired the licensing rights for the series, with Muse Communication handling licensing in Southeast Asia.
The anime adaptation, produced by Ajia-do Animation Works and directed by Yūta Murano, was announced on July 5, 2023. The opening theme, titled “Yuki no Ne” (The Sound of Snow), is performed by Novelbright, while the ending theme, “Snowspring,” is by ChoQMay. The series is known in Japanese as Yubisaki to Renren, falls under the romance genre, and is based on the manga of the same name, targeting a shoujo demographic.
A Sign of Affection (Yubisaki to Renren) is a Japanese manga series created by suu Morishita. It debuted in Kodansha’s Dessert magazine in July 2019 and has since released nine tankōbon volumes by July 2023. The manga follows the story of Yuki Itose, a university student who has been deaf since birth, living a quiet life with her best friend Rin Fujishiro.
The tale takes a turn when Yuki encounters Itsuomi Nagi, a silver-haired and multilingual friend of Rin. Despite learning about Yuki’s hearing impairment, Itsuomi remains unwavering and, with his overseas experiences, captivates her. As they part ways, Yuki finds herself growing fond of him, and a new world begins to unfold as they share glimpses of their lives.
This heartwarming romantic comedy is set to come to life in an anime television series adaptation produced by Ajia-do Animation Works, scheduled to premiere in January 2024.
