The release date for the anime Good Bye Dragon Life has been announced. It will start airing on TBS in October 2024. Along with this announcement, the first key visual and the second promotional video have been released.
The anime adaptation of Good Bye, Dragon Life (Sayonara Ryuusei, Konnichiwa Jinsei) was first announced on March 15, 2024. The series is produced by SynergySP and Vega Entertainment, directed by Kenichi Nishida, with Naokatsu Tsuda writing the scripts. Nozomi Kawashige is the character designer, and Hanae Nakamura is the composer. The main characters and their voice actors include Dolan voiced by Shunsuke Takeuchi, Celina voiced by Hitomi Sekine, Christina voiced by Ayaka Ōhashi, and Airi voiced by Akane Matsunaga.
Goodbye, Dragon Life (さようなら竜生、こんにちは人生, Sayonara Ryūsei, Konnichiwa Jinsei) is a Japanese light novel series written by Hiroaki Nagashima and illustrated by Kisuke Ichimaru. It started online in January 2013 on a site where users can publish their own novels, called Shōsetsuka ni Narō. In August 2016, it moved to the AlphaPolis website, which has published twenty-four volumes since April 2015.
The series also has a manga adaptation with art by Kurono. This manga has been serialized online on AlphaPolis’ manga website since December 2015 and has been collected into twelve volumes. It is available in English digitally through Alpha Manga.
Good Bye, Dragon Life tells the story of the most powerful dragon ever, defeated long ago by a human. This dragon, feared even by the gods, accepted its fate alone.
