As Cibo stumbles upon a discarded disc in the ruins, a downloading process begins, raising questions about whose “Memory” will ultimately prevail. Well, Blame is a renowned manga with a dedicated fan base, but for me! unfortunately, the anime adaptation didn’t quite live up to its potential.

Highschool of the Dead is a must-watch post-apocalyptic anime for zombie fans. It follows a diverse group of high school students in Tokyo as they struggle to survive the zombie outbreak and reunite with their families. The anime effectively incorporates classic zombie tropes while exploring themes of fear and hopelessness.
Based on Daisuke Sato’s manga, the anime consists of 12 episodes, making it easily binge-watchable in a single day. Unfortunately, Sato’s passing in 2017 due to a heart condition means there is no hope for a second season.
One criticism of Highschool of the Dead is its fanservice. If that’s what you’re looking for, then good luck. However, these scenes often detract from the core end-of-the-world story.
In essence, it’s a straightforward anime where a zombie apocalypse unfolds, putting a group of high school students in a dire situation. As they fight for survival, they uncover a larger and more sinister plot surrounding the disaster.
13. Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind
