Rinkai! anime series by TMS Entertainment will debut in April 2024. It will exactly begins airing on April 9th and will be shown on TOKYO MX and BS Fuji. They’ve also released the main visual and teaser video.
The Rinkai anime TV show was first announced at AnimeJapan 2023, along with the manga series. It’s made by TMS studio and directed by Takaaki Ishiyama. Hideki Shirane is in charge of the series composition, Hiromi Ono designs the characters, and Shuichiro Fukuhiro, Yoshihei Ueda, and Mana Hirano compose the music. The opening theme, Windshifter, is sung by Rico Sasaki, and the ending theme, Override!, is performed by the main cast.
Rinkai! is a story about women’s bicycle racing. It started during a tough time after the war and lasted only 15 years. Now, after many decades, it’s back with the Rinkai League. People are thrilled because of a new star who’s famous worldwide. There’s Ibushi, the unbeatable queen, and Silver Veteran, who excelled in other sports. Even those without sports experience join as challengers with big dreams.
Each character in the show is represented by a different voice actor. Izumi Itō, voiced by Umino Kawamura, is known for her cycling skills despite starting without any previous experience. Nana Hiratsuka, voiced by Azusa Aoi, comes from a unique background with a French father and excelled in cycling training. Miko Yahiko, portrayed by Rena Hasegawa, pursued cycling after her idol group disbanded. Sachi Nagoya, voiced by Saika Kitamori, strives for independence from her wealthy family through cycling. Kinusa Takamatsu, voiced by Riho Sugiyama, transitioned from various jobs to become a cyclist. Ai Kumamoto, voiced by Minami Hinata, dominates the national cycling scene with her leadership skills. Tsutsuji Kurume, portrayed by Rico Sasaki, rose to the top of worldwide competitions after a life-changing moment. Other characters like Remi Hiroshima, Momoka Tamano, Remu Tachikawa, and Miyako Mukomachi are also voiced by different actors.
