31. Hibiki Amawa
Hibike Amawa from I My Me! Strawberry Eggs is among the best anime guys that look like girls. Amawa Hibiki graduated and earned a degree in sports education, so he decided to start off his career by applying for a teaching position at the local middle school.
However, the principal refuses to hire him without hesitation. She won’t hire men as teachers and she’s very strict about her hatred of men, Amawa doesn’t give up and gets crossdresses as a woman without a second thought and gets hired, so he can earn money.
30. Koibuchi Kuranosuke
From the series of Princess Jellyfish, we have Kuranosuke Koibuchi. He is the son of the wealthy and politically influential Koibuchi family. He hides his true identity by cross-dressing and using the alias “Kurako”. Kuranosuke enjoys wearing women’s clothing and makeup. He has been seen in a variety of different feminine outfits since the beginning of the series and changes his hairstyles regularly with various wigs.
29. Ryo Asuka
Ryo from Devilman Crybaby is both a male and female anime character, serving as the main antagonist of the series. Later in the series, Ryo is revealed to be Satan!
As Ryo, he is portrayed as a lean and youthful man with light blond hair styled in Korean style. He also has blue eyes and the pale complexion of a typical Caucasian. As Satan, he is shown to be an intersex person, with breasts and female features, as well as his blonde hair growing longer down his back to his shoulders.
28. Saika Totsuka
In the My Teen Romantic Comedy Snafu anime series, Saika Totsuka is shown as captain of the tennis club and an outstanding athlete. His character is a good example of what a good male can be.
Saika has an innocent, cute look, and sometimes people mistake him for a girl. Sometimes through the show, it’s easy to forget Totsuka’s a boy. He is kind and loving to all of his friends. And he’s able to get along with everyone without any problems.
27. Sui
Sui is an anime girl from The Darwin’s Game series. She’s a skilled player and has the sigil to control water. She hates fighting and would rather die than need to kill for survival.”
She is a sweet, timid, and shy girl. However, aside from her gentle personality, her deceased brother Saota’s soul is also inside of her. Unlike Sui, Souta is bold, often confrontational, and not hesitant about killing. The two are able to swap out if needs be.

Among the best anime boys that look like girls is Crona from Soul Eater. His gender is officially considered “unknown” by Soul Eater creator Atsushi Ōkubo. There are no records of Crona’s gender in the original manga Japanese text.
Crona’s gender is a mystery. He/She seems to have an androgynous appearance, with tall stature, thin body, pink hair, and lavender eyes. Without a supportive mother, Crona grew up feeling dejected and undervalued. Crona’s lack of self-esteem led to uncertainty about the future.

Magne is an unusual female character with a wide, muscular build, long red hair, and facial hair. As one of the more villainous members of The League of Villains, Magne joined them only to enjoy a carefree life.

Even though Haku is first and foremost a male character, he is often mistaken for a girl due to his ambiguously gendered appearance and his female voiceover. Haku grew up in the Land of Water and descends from the Yuki clan. He became a ninja assassin with guidance from Zabuza Momochi and eventually partnered with him to become a mercenary.
Sure, he does have a few feminine features. And yes, Haku is a pretty-looking guy with androgynous looks who’s even been called beautiful by Naruto. At one point, Naruto even mistook him for a girl, admitting to finding Haku prettier than Sakura.
23. Grey
Another cool and sweet female character who can turn into a powerfully badass man is Grey from the Black Clover series. Grey is a shy person who loves to spend time alone but becomes friendlier and outgoing when transformed into another form. She often takes on the characteristics of the person she’s transformed into. She has accomplished such a perfect shapeshifting due to her amazing observational and acting skills.
22. Haruhi Fujioka
Haruhi is one of the most interesting anime characters from the Ouran High School Host Club series. She changed from being a girl to playing the role of a boy. She was portrayed as androgynous, which distinguishes her from her feminine middle-school appearance turning into a more masculine one.
Haruhi identifies as a biological female but feels that her gender is irrelevant to how others perceive or judge her. In the series, Haruhi often uses masculine pronouns to play the role of Host, but also to show that masculinity and femininity are meaningless.
21. Inukashi
Among the best anime boys that look like girls is Inukashi from The No.6 series. He/She is short and has dark skin, black hair, and brown eyes. The gender of Inukashi is never explicitly stated, but from the way they dress and speak, it’s implied that they’re female. However, Nezumi sometimes speaks to them as if they were male (prince, for example). This person’s gender is ambiguous, as it isn’t revealed or stated outright. It can be assumed that they are male or non-binary.
20. Orochimaru
Orochimaru – a villain character from the anime “Naruto” – is among the most popular boys that look like girls. Orochimaru was a powerful Konoha ninja but was cast out after being caught doing his experiments on people to get immortality. Orochimaru decided to leave and swore revenge. He spent a lot of time plotting how he could wreak havoc on the village and prove what he was capable of. Although Orochimaru is canonically depicted as a male character, his facial features seem more feminine. Which causes viewers of the series to misidentify him as female at times.
19. Envy
Envy from Fullmetal Alchemist is among those anime characters who are never explicitly shown to be males or females. Envy is a creation of Father’s envy. Envy can take any shape he/she wants. This means they are able to be in the form of any person – even you! If there’s one Homunculus that’s more malicious than Pride, it would be Envy. He takes joy in people’s misery and will kill them without hesitation and without any regrets.

One of the many hallmarks of Berserk is the complex cast. Of these characters, Griffith is one that stands out the most for his pleasing appearance. Griffith’s appearance is more similar to that of an anime girl than it is to a man. He has a beautiful face and his features are close to feminine.
By making people love him through his beauty and presence, it is easy to understand why Griffith had such an impact on so many people. He gained the unwavering loyalty of the Band of the Hawk with his actions and in turn, became a powerful figure within Berserk’s world.
17. Hange Zoe
If you watched the Attack on Titan TV anime, Hange might seem like a very obvious woman. In the manga, though, her gender is never mentioned. Hajime Isayama, the author of Shingeki no Kyojin (known as Attack on Titan in English) has left Hange’s gender open to interpretation. It should be up to the audience to decide which gender Hange belongs to.
Formerly the 4th squad leader, Hange was also responsible for making innovative weapons and researching the Titans, including Eren Jeager. Hange Zoe was named Commander of the Survey Corps by Erwin Smith before his death.

Mugaro from Shingeki no Bahamut is a boy who has androgynous features. Yeah! Mugaro is a boy as far as we know. He has mismatched magenta and blue eyes, with side bangs to cover up his left eye. His hair is short and blond. El Mugaro as in his angel form has a certain set of angelic abilities which are usually noticeable by the glow in his left eye. Other times, his entire body shines like gold.
15. Hideyoshi Kinoshita
Another anime boy who looks like a girl is Hideyoshi Kinoshita, a student from Class 2-F and an important supporting character in the anime/light novel, Baka to Test. He is always nice to people which gets others to like him quickly. Though he and his sister look completely identical, The only difference is his hairstyle. This leads to people constantly questioning if he’s really a boy or not throughout the show.
14. Izumi Sena
Love Stage is an anime where the main character, a boy, looks like a girl. The series follows Izumi, who after meeting up with Ryouma Ichijou, a popular actor who, much to Izumi’s shock, has been in love with him ever since their first meeting!
Because due to Izumi’s feminine appearance and unisex name. Ryouma believed the boy was a girl and continues to do so to this day. Izumi’s troubles are just beginning because even after discovering the truth. Also, Ryouma can’t seem to shake off his feelings…
13. Luka Urushibara
Luka Urushibara from the anime Steins; Gate, is arguably one of the most interesting anime boys that looks like girls. While feminine in appearance and personality, Luka is a male in most world lines. Mayuri often attempts to coerce him into cosplaying. Luka has a pretty girl appearance and that often causes him trouble. For example, Daru was attracted to Luka even though he realized that he was a guy at the time. He’s very thin and has thin arms and legs.
12. Junichirou Kagami
Junichirou Kagami is the main protagonist of Denpa Kyoushi. He is a hopeless otaku, who will become a high school physics teacher. Some aspects of his design can be considered feminine while he is officially gendered as masculine so it’s understandable why people might mistake him for a girl. However, watching anime is typically how you learn that he is a male character and that he’s typically very masculine in speech and personality.
11. Kurapika
Kurapika from Hunter x Hunter is one of the most popular anime boys who looks like girls. He’s a great smart guy with a lot of knowledge. Despite being so young, Kurapika is one of the best Nen users in his field and an excellent Hunter.
As the last survivor of the Kurata clan, he carries a lot of regret and sadness and has become a rogue hunter in order to get his revenge. Kurapika has medium-blond hair and pretty eyes that also change color when he is experiencing intense emotion.
10. Xianming Lin
Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens is a good anime that features an anime boy who looks and acts like a girl. His name is Lin, he has long brown hair that reaches his lower back and a pretty/handsome face and androgynous facial features.
In the series, Xianming Lin is a completely impartial cross-dressing male hitman. He doesn’t care about any social norms- if a woman can be in pants, then a man can wear a skirt. He generally enjoys beautiful girly clothes and adorns himself with makeup too.
9. Grell Sutcliff
When I first watched the show, I thought that Grelle is an anime girl. Nonetheless, in the Black Butler series Grelle consistently and univocally refers to herself as a woman. That’s interesting, but then when I looked into Black Butler wikis to find some background information on him, I was surprised to uncover that he is gendered as a male character. Grelle is an interesting character, portrayed as a very open person who’s not afraid to show what she wants. She thinks the color red brings out his/her inner beauty!
8. Natsuru Senou
Among the best anime boys that look like girls is Natsuru Senou from the Kämpfer series. The story revolves around Natsuru, who one day Wakes up and realizes that he transforms into a beautiful girl. Natsuru’s school has separate sections for boys and girls, so he and she are now double enrolled. The rumor mill has it that he’s dating herself. You’ll be thrust into a world of hormones, fists and other body parts that will fly as the daring new gender-bender defender has to fight on a daily basis!
7. Kino
Kino from Kino’s Journey. is a teenage traveler with black hair, large eyes, and a cold face. Kino appears to be a male anime character at the beginning of the story, but it is later revealed that she is actually a female.
In the series, although she seems apathetic at first, she is a caring and understanding person. Kino travels to different countries to learn about their customs and history but only stays for three days. She fears settling down, as it would force her to no more traveling.
6. Tanya Degurechaff
Among the most popular boys who look like girls is Tanya Degurechaff from Youjo Senki. Tanya is actually a salaryman who was murdered but reborn as a girl in an alternate version of Europe during World War 1. This anime girl may have an innocent face at first glance, but there’s a witty and ruthless man inside her who combats the forces of Being X.
5. Dororo
Dororo is a young anime boy – who also looks like a girl. He’s the titular character and deuteragonist of the show. He’s an orphaned thief looking for any opportunity to make money, which he does by stealing and causing problems for others. After being saved by Hyakkimaru, Dororo decides to accompany him during his journey. Later in the story, it is revealed that Dororo was actually born as a girl but had always been living as a male.
4. Inosuke Hashibira
Among the best anime boys that look like girls is Inousuke Hashibira. He is one of the main protagonists in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and one of Tanjiro’s companions. He’s a good guy but has to watch out for his impulsiveness, which could get him into all sorts of trouble. He is perceived as a short-tempered powerful male character, but when he removes his boar mask, you discover that he actually looks much more feminine.
3. Gowther
Gowther has a design that’s characteristically feminine due to his meek silhouette and bright pink hair. I assumed he was female because of these traits, but apparently, he is a boy!
He talks without feeling, “in the monotone voice” and never changes his expression. Despite how emotionless he is, Gowther does care about people. Though he may look very feminine, Gowther is actually a really strong character that is not to be toyed with.
2. Nagisa Shiota
From the Assassination Classroom anime series, we have Nagisa Shiota. At first glance, people wouldn’t be able to tell if Nagisa is a girl or a boy. The character has very soft features, especially the pretty face and his gentle demeanor (unless he wants to kill you).
He may have had a female style forced on him by his mother. She always wanted a daughter! so she named him Nagisa, let his hair down, and made him wear girl’s clothes. But of course, that doesn’t stop Nagisa from becoming one of the most skilled assassins and maybe even the best kisser.
1. Rimuru Tempest
The titular character of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is Rimuru Tempest, the reincarnation of Satoru Mikami. Rimuru’s character is androgynous and doesn’t fit into the stereotype of either gender.
Rimuru’s default form is that of slime, while his human form is that of a girl and is similar to the one that Shizue Izawa has. However, his silver hair and deep golden eyes make him significantly more attractive, almost appearing to be more beautiful.
