15. Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time
Samurai Jack is not simply an accurate recreation of the popular Cartoon Network Show; it is also one of the greatest pure action-combat games available on the Turn. War Over Time, half hack-and-slash, half platformer, offers a very complicated battle framework that allows you to unleash a variety of devastating abilities and mix them in dazzling ways.
The game’s gorgeous graphical design resembles vintage cartoons come to life, and it also has original voice actors (including Phil LaMarr as Jack himself). You can’t go wrong with Fight Over Time, whether you’re a fan of the show or just want a massive slice-em-up on Turn.
14. Luigi’s Mansion 3
It’s been six years at least since Nintendo last released a game in the Luigi Mansion series, and fans have begun to lose faith for another one, which also declares that it was extremely pleasant news for Nintendo Switch. 13. Bayonetta 2
Bayonetta 2 has been re-released on Switch, which means you no longer have an excuse not to play it. However, when the heroine is a witch with magical hair and (literally) lethal stilettos, you won’t have much of a reason not to. This Switch release allows you to play some of the greatest action-packed, horrific moments in gaming history whenever and whenever you want.
Although the resolution is limited to 720p, even on your TV, it doesn’t detract from the fact that it’s a better game than it was on Wii U, even if you only look at the big frame rate increases. Regardless, the game looks amazing, and if you’re even somewhat interested in action games, you owe it to yourself to check it out.
12. Monster Hunter Rise
Monster Hunter Rise is literally the perfect game for you right now, as the pandemic is coming to a close. The quest format is somewhat tedious at times, but I now appreciate how well-segmented it is. Most missions have a time restriction of 50 minutes, but they take significantly less time to accomplish; unlike almost every other role-playing game ever produced, I can pick up Rise, start a quest, and know that I’ll reach a natural stopping point in under an hour (and often in under 20 minutes).
In spite of being a lengthy game, Rise does not seem as much like a commitment as other open-ended titles. Rise’s ease of entry and exit makes it ideal for my hectic schedule, where I must manage my gaming time.
11. Burnout Paradise
You might be shocked to find that the Nintendo Switch has relatively few outstanding racing games. And if you want something a little more anchored in reality than Mario Kart, your alternatives are even more limited. Fortunately, there is Burnout Paradise.
Given the arcade mechanics, Burnout Paradise isn’t exactly realistic, but you’re not avoiding shells or bananas, so that’s something.
Paradise is one of the best racing games ever developed, and the Switch port is fantastic, featuring all of the original’s features, plus the obligatory 60 fps and online multiplayer.
10. Hollow Knight
You already know the score — you’re in the middle of a challenging map that keeps revealing its vastness as you discover new talents to conquer tremendously difficult trials and take on ever-more monster foes. Secrets lurk around every corner, and the sense of accomplishment you experience when you retrace to a previously inaccessible area after being armed with the correct abilities is unparalleled in any game.
Hollow Knight stands out from other Metroidvania games because to his particular graphical style (mysterious underground insect town? Count us in, along with his nods to the Dark Souls campaign, difficult boss encounters, and strangely distant residents of his underground realm. Easily one of the most popular gaming characters.
9. Super Mario Odyssey
All I know is that Super Mario Odyssey is one of the two or three great games ever to bear the name of that lovely little boy. It’s every bit as strong as Super Mario Galaxy or Super Mario Bros. 3, Nintendo’s prior high-water marks for the character and the platformer genre in general.
Odyssey is an amazing cornucopia of pure delight, full of the freedom inherent in open world games but with a steady chain of clear aims and attainable goals dragging you ever deeper into its roster of candy-colored kingdoms. It’s a great companion piece to Nintendo’s other major Switch game of 2017, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild: both reimagine a classic.
8. Divinity: Original Sin II
So far, the standard for the RPG title. However, Divinity: Original Sin 2 shines in terms of how free and freeing its systems are. With turn-based combat that draws inspiration from XCOM as well as tabletop RPG spellcasting, you’ll still have several paths to pursue, enabling you to blend items and ambient factors to take on opponents in more innovative ways.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 offers more concepts in the first ten minutes than any gamer has ever seen in their life: do you want to be an undead adventurer who can communicate with skulls? Simply go for it. Dr. Doolittle’s animal whisperer? That is 100% going for it.

In terms of gameplay, it’s a terrific puzzle/platformer that you’ll have to attempt to go back to the realm of colour, but artistically, it’s one of the most gorgeous titles. The colour spectrum expands as you play, and as you choose colours and go through the game. I can’t help but spam a screenshot press to numerous locations and sites that are as natural as breathing.
This is a short game that makes the most of Turn. It is a straightforward visual storey that can be exchanged in any spoken language, with no tough management fights, convoluted wars, or dubious DLCs. It’s reclining back, resting and relaxing, and having a good time.
4. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
The Legend of Zelda is probably more than any other games, the most cool demonstration of what the Nintendo Switch is capable of. Breath of the Wild Nintendoizes themes presented in the initial Legend of Zelda game, as well as notions elaborated on by Skyrim and other current open-world RPGs, distilling them into their purest elements and polishing the heck out of them.
It’s an universe of wonder, and for the first time in what feels like an eternity, it really allows you to enjoy that wonder without hitting you over the head with hours of tutorials and continuous text boxes re-explaining what you already know. It combines a challenging but fair level of difficulty with a fantastic concept that appeals to platform lovers looking for true gameplay depth. In the face of a plethora of platform drivers on the console, Ori and the Will of the Wisps are extremely competitive on Turn yet can stand apart.
Ori is also known for its incredible artistic production, as seen by the second title’s doubling. The original game’s aesthetic is artistic, ethereal, and changes to 11. Much occurs here, and though Switch users won’t be able to experience the 4K HDR found in other editions (the Switch either doesn’t support it), the game looks good on the Switch’s inbuilt LCD.
2. Witcher 3 – The Complete Edition
Witcher 3 is one of the most popular role-playing games of this age (and maybe all time) has finally made its way to the Nintendo Switch. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt-Complete Version, as the name implies, has every piece of material included in Project Red’s massive open-world adventure on CD, as well as all previously accessible downloadable material (including common Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions).
Although The Witcher 3’s Switch Port sacrifices aesthetic consistency for playability, it retains the same massive world, dramatic story-telling, and rewarding combat that made Geralt of Rivia’s third adventure so memorable. And now you have the ability to take it all away.
