It is officially confirmed that the new anime movie of Tsukiuta RABBITS KINGDOM THE MOVIE is set to be released on June 14th. They also posted a new visual on their official Twitter account and revealed more cast members.
The additional cast members are Shintarō Asanuma as Lapin, who is a minister in the Black Rabbit Kingdom, Kaoru Marimura as Kalavinka, the Queen of the Bird Tribe, Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Rōen, the King of the Wolf Tribe, and Shinnosuke Musashi as Mousse, the King of the Mouse Kingdom.
Tsukiuta, originally a character CD series born from the collaboration between Vocaloid producers and voice actors, has grown into a larger media franchise. This includes its own anime, stage plays, manga anthologies, video games, and merchandise.
The anime, titled Tsukiuta. The Animation, aired from July to September 2016, focusing on members of Six Gravity and Procellarum, with each episode highlighting a different character. In November 2018, a second season was announced, with changes in animation production staff. Initially set for 2019, the premiere was delayed to April 2020, and later to July 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, finally airing from October 7 to December 30, 2020. Funimation acquired the series for streaming in North America and the British Isles.
On April 3, 2022, this movie titled “Rabbits Kingdom the Movie” was announced, and slated for December 2023 but delayed later. Now, the confirmed release date for Tsukiuta Rabbits Kingdom the Movie is now set for June 14, 2024.
