It is officially announced that Oshi no Ko season 2 is set to premiere in 2024. At Oshi no Ko Ichigo Production Fan Festival 2023 event in Japan, they’ve unveiled a teaser visual and a special video to mark the release.The main characters of “Oshi no Ko” include Aquamarine Hoshino, voiced by Takeo Ootsuka, Ruby Hoshino, voiced by Yurie Igoma, Kana Arima, voiced by Megumi Han, and Akane Kurokawa, voiced by Manaka Iwami. The supporting characters include Ai Hoshino, voiced by Rie Takahashi, and MEM-cho, voiced by Rumi Ookubo. The staff behind the anime includes Aka Akasaka as the original storyteller, Mengo Yokoyari as the original character designer, and Daisuke Hiramaki as the director with Ciao Nekotomi as the assistant director.
Oshi no Ko is an anime based on the manga created by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari, has been running in Weekly Young Jump since April 23, 2020. So far, thirteen volumes have been published by Shueisha as of November 17, 2023. The English version began appearing on the Manga Plus website and app in April 2022, with Yen Press officially licensing it for English release in July 2022. Additionally, the series has been licensed in various countries, including Taiwan, South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, France, Germany, Italy, Argentina, Spain, and Poland.
The Oshi No Ko anime series, was produced by Doga Kobo, which had its first season with 11 episodes from April to June 2023. It tells the story of Ai Hoshino, a 16-year-old pop idol from the group B Komachi. In the entertainment world, stars often hide their real feelings and struggles behind fake personas. Fans adore them, but when Ai announces a break due to health issues, people worry.
Gorou Amemiya, a countryside doctor and a big fan of Ai, dreams of meeting her. His dream comes true when Ai visits his hospital, not because she’s sick, but because she’s expecting twins! While Gorou promises to help Ai with a safe delivery, he wonders how this encounter might change their relationship. The second season of Oshi No Ko is expected to come out in 2024.
