The Strongest Tank’s Labyrinth Raids anime series is officially announced to premiere on January 6, 2024. The show, based on the Japanese light novel series written by Ryūta Kijima and illustrated by Sando, has revealed more cast members and a trailer.
Originally a web novel published on Shōsetsuka ni Narō from July 2018 to February 2021, the series was later adapted into a light novel by Shufunotomo under their Hero Bunko imprint in April 2019. The manga adaptation, illustrated by Makoto Kisaragi, started serialization on Square Enix’s Manga Up! app in May 2019.
The characters in the anime include Rud, voiced by Jun Kasama; Nin, voiced by Kaede Hondo; Luna, voiced by Kana Ichinose; Manicia, voiced by Yui Ogura; Lilia, voiced by Ayaka Ōhashi; Lily, voiced by Kana Yūki; Marius, voiced by Nobuhiko Okamoto; and Amon, voiced by Misaki Kuno.
Saikyou Tank no Meikyuu Kouryaku: Tairyoku 9999 no Rare Skill-mochi Tank, Yuusha Party wo Tsuihou sareru known in english as (The Strongest Tank’s Labyrinth Raids: A Tank with a Rare 9999 Resistance Skill Got Kicked from the Hero’s Party) is an upcoming action adventure fantasy anime series set to premiere on January 6, 2024. It was announced on October 5, 2023, and is produced by Studio Polon.
The story revolves around Rud, a tank in the Hero’s Party known for having the highest defense in history. His primary goal in the party’s labyrinth raids is to find a treasure that could cure his sister’s illness. However, after a failed raid attempt, the hero kicks Rud out, blaming his skills, of which Rud is unaware.
With nowhere else to go, Rud decides to return to his hometown where his sister awaits. During his journey, he saves a girl under attack, revealing her rare skill, “Appraisal.” This skill helps Rud uncover the truth about his unknown and powerful abilities, including a defense of 9999. The anime promises an action-packed fantasy adventure, and its opening theme is “Brave,” with the ending theme being “Yume no Naka de” (Inside a Dream), both performed by Ireisu.
