Shumatsu Train Doko e Iku?, a new original TV anime, recently shared a fresh trailer and the release date is set for April 2024.
This upcoming series, titled Where is the Doomsday Train Going?, offers a first look at an post-apocalyptic world. The trailer introduces the main characters as they navigate their peculiar surroundings, accompanied by the opening theme “GA-TAN GO-TON” by Rei Nakashima. From the PV, the anime looks good so far, as it features a unique storyline, top notch animation, and interesting characters.
Aside from the release date which is slated for April 2024, you gotta also know that Shūmatsu Train Doko e Iku is produced by Kadokawa Corporation and animated by EMT Squared, the series is directed by Tsutomu Mizushima, with Michiko Yokote handling series composition, Asako Nishida on character designs, and Miho Tsujibayashi composing the music. The opening theme, “GA-TAN GO-TON,” is performed by Rei Nakashima.
The anime revolves around characters like Shizuru Chikura, voiced by Chika Anzai, Nadeshiko Hoshi, voiced by Azumi Waki, Reimi Kuga, voiced by Erisa Kuon, and Akira Shinonome, voiced by Hina Kino.
The story of Where Does the Doomsday Train Go? (Shuumatsu Train Doko e Iku?) takes place in a unique countryside town where strange things are happening. In this extraordinary place, Shizuru Chikura has a deep longing to reunite with her missing friends. Alongside her friends, they embark on an adventure, boarding an abandoned train with an uncertain fate. Their destination is unknown, and the question lingers: What awaits them at the final stop of this journey on the running doomsday train?
