Maaya Uchida and Ayane Sakura Join You and Idol Precure Anime Movie as Original Characters

You and Idol Precure♪ Anime Film Adds Maaya Uchida, Ayane Sakura as Original New Characters

The official website and social media account for Eiga Kimi to Idol Precure♪ Omatase! Kimi ni Todokeru KirakkiLive! (You and Idol Precure♪ The Movie: Thank You for Waiting! KirakkiLive for You!) have announced the addition of two acclaimed voice actors to the cast. Maaya Uchida and Ayane Sakura will voice original characters created exclusively for the upcoming theatrical release of the hit You and Idol Precure♪ anime series.

New Cast Members Join the Precure Universe

Maaya Uchida, best known for her roles as Catarina Claes in My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! and Norman in The Promised Neverland, will voice the character Tera. Tera is a mysterious red-haired girl who appears to be just another attendee at the Super Miracle Idol Festival on Ai Ai Island. Wearing vibrant clothing and accessories, she initially comes across as quite ordinary, but harbors a major secret. Notably, Tera is an idol-hating girl, contrasting with many themes of the film.

Uchida’s upcoming role as Tera marks her second time appearing in the Precure franchise. She previously voiced the childhood version of Empress Underg in the 20th television series, Soaring Sky! Precure.

Regarding her involvement, Uchida said:

“I am Maaya Uchida, and I am playing the role of Tera! When my manager told me about this opportunity, I was filled with joy! After I listened to the theme that ‘Kimipuri’ wants to convey in this movie at the studio, I approached the voice recording with the desire to cherish the feelings I put into this moment. Please come see it at the theater! Thank you very much.”

Joining her is Ayane Sakura, the voice of Ochaco Uraraka in My Hero Academia and Iroha Isshiki in My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU. She will voice Amasu, a divine character described as the goddess who once protected Ai Ai Island from a looming disaster.

This marks Sakura’s debut role in the Precure universe. Expressing her gratitude, Sakura commented:

“I am honored to be able to visit the world of Precure, which everyone adores. I was able to experience the incredibly sparkling scenery. When I was playing Amasu, I remembered the original feeling as human beings, and it made me sad and happy. She is a very nice character that makes me think again about the difficulty of ‘supporting someone.’ I’m sure it will resonate with you, who are supporting Kimipuri. I hope it will be a movie that will leave a lasting impression on the audience. I’ll cheer with you.”
