i☆Ris is a unique group that combines voice acting and idol performances, managed jointly by Avex Group and 81 Produce. Formed in July 2012 through the “Anime Song Vocal Audition,” the six members made their CD debut with the ending theme song “Color” for the anime “Battle Spirits Sword Eyes” in November of the same year. Since July 2014, all members have been main cast members in the TV anime “Pripara,” handling a total of eight opening theme songs. Their journey includes the release of their first album, “We are i☆Ris!!!” in April 2015, along with a successful five-city tour.
The group has achieved notable milestones, winning the singing award at the 10th Seiyu Awards in March 2016 and holding a 4th-anniversary live performance at Nippon Budokan in November of the same year. With hit singles like “Ultimate ☆ MAGIC” and “FANTASTIC ILLUSION” used as opening themes for the popular TV anime Kenja No Mago, i☆Ris marked their 10th-anniversary year with a sold-out one-man live at Pacifico Yokohama National Hall in November 2019. In 2024, they will be releasing “i☆Ris the Movie – Full Energy!! -,” an anime film announced during their 10th-anniversary live show at Tokyo International Forum Hall A, showcasing their continuous evolution and success in the entertainment world.
