Arknights Perish in Frost Anime Release Date
The TV anime series Arknights Perish in Frost is set to air on TV Tokyo, Animax and various channels starting from October 6th.
The story of this action fantasy anime revolves around central characters Amiya and the Doctor, supported by the Ryumon Guard Bureau and Rhodes members, as they brace themselves for a daunting battle against their powerful adversary, Frostnova. Positioned in the heart of this confrontation, Frostnova is flanked by her loyalists—the Snow Devil Platoon, Mephisto, and other Reunion members.
The opening theme, “ACHE in PULSE,” is performed by MYTH & ROID, while the closing theme, “RIP,” is presented by ReoNa.

The original creation hails from Hypergryph and Studio Montagne, with Yui@W as the character designer. Yuki Watanabe assumes the role of the director, supported by Masaki Nishikawa as the assistant director and Yostar Pictures for series composition. The character’s design is by Aya Takato, while Yuki Hayashi handles the music. The animation production is led by Takeo Hata and Yostar Pictures.
In Arknights: Perish In Frost, Yuki Kaida takes on the role of the Doctor, Tomoyo Kurosawa portrays Amiya, Ayahi Takagaki embodies Frostnova, and Shizuka Ishigami plays Chen.
Arknights Anime Story
The first season of Arknights Animation, titled Prelude to Dawn, is set in a world where the discovery of Originium, a black crystalline mineral, has propelled technological advancements. Originium’s potent energy has granted individuals abilities akin to magic called Arts, leading to significant progress. However, Originium usage carries a risk—Oripathy, an incurable and highly contagious disease. Catastrophes, natural disasters caused by Originium, are often linked to its presence. Those infected face harsh discrimination, fostering a rebellion called Reunion, which further exacerbates the catastrophic events. Rhodes Island, a paramilitary pharmaceutical organization, aims to treat the infected and uninfected equally and seeks a cure for Oripathy. Yet, the project’s leader, known as the Doctor, grapples with amnesia, hindering a potential solution.
The upcoming second season, “Arknights: Perish in Frost,” set to air in October 2023, continues the narrative. Terra, the world’s land, experiences unexplained irregular natural disasters. In response, people opt for living in mobile cities to escape these calamities. The remnants of Originium at Catastrophe sites have propelled civilization due to their immense energy. However, they have also brought Oripathy, an incurable disease. The infected, whose bodies crystallize gradually, become sources of infection upon death. Many countries subject the infected to persecution, segregation, and forced labor. Those oppressed by these governments initiate a rebellion. Rhodes Island, a pharmaceutical company focused on Oripathy cure research, takes up arms, aiming to liberate people from the clutches of this disease.
